A quick note on flat panel vs. CRT - it is still the case that CRT's offer
better color fidelity, and obviously, better side viewing. The general
consensus is that if you do a lot of production quality digital photo
editing that you still need a high quality CRT monitor for that purpose.
With flat panels, I think it pays to read some reviews, and learn the specs.
Look for differences in brightness, pixel size, and resolution. Also there's
lots of different options, like digital signal connections, TV tuners,
speakers, dual inputs, etc.
