Interesting article.

Is there an index that filters out all the peripherals and only tracks the option-traded stocks?
And, if so, it would be a humungous task to extract the AD numbers from all those, unless
there is already an index for such.

and if not.....
I'm no expert on the components of the SP500 index.  But I assume that it is composed
of stocks that are open to possible option trading as well. Right/wrong?

If right, then an increase or solid amount in SPX volume should confirm that the NYSE AD
numbers are probably valid. Yes?
