Does anyone has the source code of this utility
CCoutach is talking about. Can you please contact me
if you have a copy? It may be rewritten so that one
does not need to rewrite the data files every day.

I think the problem was with TC2000. They didn't
bother to change the output
file format to match the Y2K date format of TS.
Maybe Omega wouldn't share
the info with them. Yet someone on this list wrote a
utility to change the
TC2000 files. It worked, but because it changed the
date format, TC2000
thought the files were invalid, so re-wrote the files
every day (my
estimation of the problem). This isn't bad if you
track a couple hundred
stocks, but if you use the entire TC2000 database
(9000 stocks) it adds
almost two hours to the update. Had to give up
TC2000 - too bad, since I
really liked having someone else update the stock
database (TC2000 ver.4).
