Chart Scanning & Default Data range

***Summary question:***
Is there a way to program an indicator/show me, to access (or call
up) data further back than is displayed on the chart? Or barring that
a way to change the default data range from it's current 500 bars to
something else? Or...is there a setting in Global server that will
get the "settlement" high and low for the day to over-ride bad ticks
that created a false high or low for the day?

Knowing that there is no way to do this would help as well. It would
save me a lot of time trying to figure out a way around it.

***Detail of problem***

1) "First bar on chart" is the bar ON THE CHART, not the first day of
data in the data file.

2) This problem occurs when using workspace assistant (previously
known as chart scanner) and scanning assets in a 3rd party data
directory (such as dial data). The default symbol setting for data
range in a chart is 500 bars. My show me/indicator needs to analyse
more than 500 bars. It is not a problem if I am only working with one
symbol since I can simply change the beginning date to more than 500
bars ago. If you click the "next" arrow icon the next symbol reverts
back to the 500 bar default. Going back to the original symbol
results in it being defaulted back to 500 bars as well. Thus when the
symbols are scanned none of them uses more than 500 bars.

3) My work around:

Symbols listed in the Global server are setup using number of bars
back rather than first date on chart. Thus if you set it up as 800
bars and click on the "next" symbol the next symbol also will go back
800 bars. This setting "sticks" and (if there is enough data in the
file) scanning in this manner you can get more than 500 bars for your
indicator to analyze. There is a choice of scanning all the symbols
in the Global server or in the Global Server custom symbol list. I
made a backup of the custom symbol list directory and then deleted all
the custom symbol lists (sectors) that TS came with and created a new
one of all my symbols that I wanted to scan. Then I imported all my
data from the 3rd party to the Global server. This works.

Kinda works that is.

Unless I import all 850 of my symbols one by one from the EOD provider
again the data on high volume stocks gets corrupted by bad ticks from
the real time data. For some reason the high (bad) tick or low (bad)
tick is being retained as the high or low for the day. It is not
practical to manually find and edit the bad highs and lows out for all
the symbols. In Global server, My settlement time is set for 3 hours,
but my dribble is set for 0 hours Does the "real" high and low get
sent during the dribble.
