Mark has his beliefs about the best way to trade and, naturally, anyone
who disagrees with him is stupid and/or misguided. (Just pullin' yer leg
a little, Mark :-)
Anyhoooo, there can be plenty of good reasons to want fast execution. I
know people who run mechanical systems (quite successfully) with stops
placed on one symbol and, when they are elected, they have to manually
place an order on the symbol they are actually trading. TS beeps, you
pick up the phone or hit enter on your keyboard. It's a higher workload
than placing a stop order but it's a perfectly valid way to trade and
there can be some good reasons, like fewer fakeouts, for doing it that
way. Besides, there is absolutely no downside to choosing an efficient
broker and/or routing method. If you don't need it, fine. If you do,
fine too.
