I can't imagine what the upside is to getting involved in your neighbors'
financial affairs.
you will inevitably be faced with the question, probably at the most
inopportune moment, why did you get me in ........(you pick the name)..., I
have a horrific loss and my daughter needs the money for tuition...(and the
implied, it's your fault.)
