OT: MS Office XP

I'm currently using MS Office 97.  I was wondering if there are any
significant improvements in MS Office XP warranting an upgrade.  Do the XP
versions of Word, Excel or Access have any new features that really aid ease
of use?

I have also heard rumors that XP runs much slower than Office 97 and Office
2000.  All comments welcomed.
