It is not "thinking" of these people as thugs, that is the
problem. The problem is THEY ARE THUGS.
And even if one might consider the concept of "thug" to be
vague, there is no question about the definition of
"terrorist." Thinking somebody is a terrorist is not the
problem. Being a terrorist is the problem.
And at least since the American Revolution, when it comes to
human rights and individual freedom, the US has always been,
and hopefully will continue to be arrogant. The Declaration
of Independence was an early statement of arrogance.
