I can't believe something as simple as an ELD archive is driving me nuts,
but yes it must be fate. I am exporting some 2000i indicators to a protected
ELD file which happen to use some of the TradeStation custom functions such
as LastBarOnChart and PivotHigh (about ten functions in total). Since the
export automatically transfers functions used by these indicators, they are
written to the ELD archive.
Now I want to import the ELD file back into TradeStation 2000i. Each of the
analysis techniques is checked as well as the functions written by
TradeStation. I uncheck the functions because I don't want to replace the
original TS functions with the protected versions, but when I start the
import, there's a dialog box asking if I want to replace the original
versions with the protected versions, and I respond "No" 10 times because it
looks like TS is trying to import these functions anyways.
Three questions:
1. Why does TS still try to import these ancillary functions even when the
check boxes are unchecked?
2. Is there any way to avoid putting these functions into the ELD archive in
the first place? I don't want them protected in the first place.
3. All I'd like to do is to create an archive with some custom indicators
and have them imported without having to go through a dozen dialog boxes.
Thoughts? (other than wanting to trash the thing again)

Mark C.
