yeah, boggles the mind doesn't it o fuzzy one! ;-)
ts will survive on numerous levels....ts4 and ts2ki (with or without dynastore emulation), tspro, and ts open platform. bundling system testing and execution on one platform brings prediction co type automation to the masses (at least the well capitalized ones). what most consider a poor business decision makes sense in this market environment. omega is profit driven like any business and the commish is a strong attraction to level out their spiky business cycle.
the only bone-headed decision by omega management was to omit futures trading at the beginning. most students of market history recognize that futures enjoy greater volatility and liquidty (read more futures commish) when stocks collapse. so ppl tend to migrate from stocks to futures during these times. but the futures omission may have more to do with governmental regs (sec or cftc) than poor planning, like divorcing the dosmestic sw sales from the brokerage operations. the lawyers may have had more to say about that than billie and ralphie.
