There are some serious technical issues with connecting multiple
computers to a DTN feed, because of all the interaction between
the receiver and the computer application that's taking in the data.
It's not at all like the BMI feed which is one-way only from
receiver to listener(s). The BMI box doesn't listen to the
computer at all.
Anyone wanting to set up multiple listeners to a DTN feed would
have to do some non-trivial hacking to in effect create your
own data server dispensing the DTN data to your network. It'd
probably be easier to ask DTN for a network setup. Unless you're
an accomplished network hacker and you don't care about violating
DTN and the exchanges network agreements.
I wonder if Quote.com is one-way or two-way. It'd have a big
influence on this multiple-connectivity question.
