Rather than usually ranting, I have checked your tickquest web site.
Well, not so bad.
This is the kind of application that will probably flourish during the next
months.
Perfectly useful for those who like VB and JS.
But I will stick with the current TS platform in any case.
As we told, the battle is now past history, and even if Neoticker will have
some success ( that it should deserve), it's a programming platform, one
more, with new habits to take, code to translate, rather to staywith what I
know using EL.

The TSPro concept with order routing, EL compatibility and best of all
their online database is still the way to go, and I bet that none will beat
their server farms and services.

Again, the next step is over there.
We currenty focus on platform advantage, old debate Win 2000 / Linux like.
But a platfor is still a platform and if a spreadsheet may run on bith, it's
still a spreadsheet with empty cells or general purpose functions provided.
This is not where the value is.
The value is in the code you will input into it, and for the past two
decades, most of all has been said.

Where is the intelligence of a trading system ?
In the OS or the trading platform ? Obviously no. Only the OS robustness is
here, and frankly, this in no more a serious concern nowdays.
Same apply to database integrity, backup. There are more facilitys now when
comparing my early intraday realtime trials in 1990, believe me, this was
risky at every level ( hardware, communication, data, OS, trading
platform..)

But during these days, what have been really done ?
I could extract maybe 20 or 30 original concepts that were developped and
still hand coded into strading systems for these 20 years ( I speak of new
idea that were published and may work in an accepatable manner . Please
don't ask, I have spent too much time (years) on this).

Artificial intelligence has always been misunderstood, due to the
catastrophic software that have been produced in the 1990's.
It seems that the still 20th brute force concept was still there in USA,even
in this field, and this is what you ( not you Lawrence) may have not
understood, and that we advocate here since 1995.
We do not use AI like you may understand. We put logical intelligence into
an AI software and never let the optimizaton control anything. We use the AI
power for what it is good at it ( non linear relationships) but always
control the use of the AI from A to Z with logical rules, hard coded in the
Safir-X automated developmeent software itself .

All of this eems to be misunderstood over there, and frankly, I will not
change my mind for nothing
More, I will publish realtime trades next month, several times a day. Better
that any discurse and go back to the current Safir-X Trader Pro development
that will bring the concept to higher levels and more global adaptivity
 does this word exist ?).

For me, computers are still used by traders like big palm calculators,
because current trading software are no more than specialized tools like
this, wil the illusion that you will discover with the key by work, by
chance, by borrowing ideas, modifying them, pushing the trial and error
quest to the ultimate possibility of computers servile power.

What a waste of CPU time...

Sincerely,
