Win2k permissons to another Win2k

This is a little off topic except for those of us sharing files between TS
and other PC's

Here's my situation for 3 PC's:

1) "SharedPC" is a Windows 2000 Pro PC with a folder that needs to be
available for sharing.
2) I have created two users on SharedPC - both identically setup as 'users'.
They are named: "Win98" and "Win2K". Win98 is running Windows98 and Win2K
is running Windows 2000 Pro.
3) Win98 can see the folder on SharedPC.
4) Win2k can NOT see the folder on SharedPC. It keeps getting an access
denied message.
5) When I change the permission on SharedPC to everyone, Win2k can see the
folder no problem - so I know the network is fine. But I don't want
everyone to have access to this folder.

Is there something unique that needs to be performed when sharing a folder
between two Non-domained Windows 2000 Pro PC's? I've tried MS knowledge
base, but it keeps spitting up the same old instructions. I am probably
missing something very small. Your help is appreciated.

Thanks, jim hill
