Jim,
I found out after upgrading to AOL 6.0 that turning off HTML formatting for e-mail was not possible.
However I did find a solution. If you log on to AOL.com using a regular browser IE or Netscape...you can log into your AOL account and check your e-mail and send new e-mail.....without HTML formatting....
