Re: off topic / image or mirror drive software needed

Bilo,

I have used what is now Norton Ghost for over two years and I perform weekly
backup my of drive images (FAT16, FAT32 and NTFS). The software works from
a DOS bootable floppy or a true DOS prompt and saves/restores the drive
image very quickly. I have never had a problem using it although I now run
a FAT32 driver on my NT 4.0 PC because individual files can be restored from
images of FAT16/FAT32 but not from NTFS. I use drive images because they
are easier for me to manage but you can use the software to mirror to
another drive just as well.

I have many removable trays and getting a NT partition restored (FAT16) only
takes 2 or 3 minutes - it takes longer to go to DOS and then reboot the
restored OS.

As usual, no affiliation - just a well satisfied customer.

I originally purchased Drive Image but it did not work well for me.
