On April 11, Globex went down for an extended period of time. For
anyone who has the time and made mini NASDAQ trades during
this period, I would appreciate learning the following:
1, Were you alerted to the Globex outage and if so, how and when?
2. Did you experience delays in fill reports, and if so, approximately
how long?
3. Did you enter trades on-line or speak to a broker?
4. Did you experience any unusual slippage?
5. Were your fills on stop orders late in execution?
I am looking for a new broker after a bad experience with my
current one and would like to know how others handle this
situation.
I received a reply from Interactive Brokers which said that they were
unable to fill mini orders if Globex is down and suggested a back-
up broker. Can any IB customer comment on this reply?
