Re: PORTING TRADESTATION TO MATLAB

Trading Reference Links

there are many math platforms available,
just like many trading platforms.
mathematica is strong in symbolic math.
maple is matlabs competitor.
statistica is another neat tool.
mathcad is similar to matlab and those are major
competitors
s -plus(mathcad ) is the best as financial and time series analysis.
majority considers matlab to be the overall best
general engineering/math tool and most
widely used. in short it's there are two leaders there
matchcad and matlab (retail platforms ). other tools are good too
but the support is not that good and the scope
of support products such as toolboxes are not there.
there are many other small free math alternative little
platforms that were mainly designed to immitate matlab or mathcad
or symbolic math alternatives designed
by math guys who did not like existing and
wanted free platform...
the reason i like matlab is that it's very simple, sintax is not
convoluted unlike some other math platforms, easy to learn,
huge user libraries, array based!!! makes it ideal for doing
time series and porting to TS.
why bother with smaller stuff when you can deal with the best
and it's here to stay...
bilo.
