Directory scans of ascii files

Great TS info on this thread. Perhaps someone could help me with a
SuperCharts problem.

I'm a SuperCharts V4 Build 10 (latest upgrade) user and satisfied with what
it has to offer. Mainly EOD charting analysis and system building. I
day-trade TSE and CDNX stocks using Canada-StockWatch realtime feed and
charts and also download the CSW EOD data in an ascii format. Because the
ascii file contains all symbols for the day, I wrote a Visual Basic (Ver. 6)
program to split the CSW file into individual text files for each symbol
because that is the requirement by SC. Now I am able to view these symbols
using SC.

One annoying problem, however. When plotting a chart, SC prompt for the
Field Order and then the Setting for the ascii file. I have created a DOP
file but it still prompts for the field order. Even inserting the field
order as the first line in the ascii data file makes no difference. This is
not a problem when using non-ascii data files (CD data from DialData etc.)
Because of this problem, scanning a directory containing all the TSE symbols
for indicator and chart patterns is not feasible.

I'm assuming TS uses ascii data the same way. Anybody have experience in
this or suggestions on how to overcome this limitation.

Regards,
Nick
