So, let's see here. Here's this guy with a super-duper system. He
doesn't have enough money to fund a trading account. He has never traded
his system with real money but, according to him, it's really really
good, honest, really. Of course, he is not willing to disclose the code.
It's all black box and I have to take his word that he isn't using any
of the well-known tricks and gotchas in system design that give you
super backtest results but trade like sh*t realtime. So, I'm going to
send him a bunch of my hard-earned money to buy this system which has
never seen combat. Or, better yet, I'm going to send him a BIGGER bunch
of my money and let him manage it for me while he learns to trade.

Yeah, right.

If it's really that good, borrow the money, sell your house, sell your
car, max your credit cards, whatever. Eat beans for a year. Live like a
college student. Fund an account and trade it. Trade the smallest
possible size. If the system is any good, you should be able to start
with far less than $100K and survive any drawdowns. Once you have a
track record, with audited account statements, even if it's trading
small, you will have enough credibility to peddle your wares. Until
then, nobody will take you seriously, nor should they. It's like saying
"Hey, I'm really good at Microsoft Flight Simulator. I think I'll go get
a job as an airline pilot." :-)
