Ts2ki Chart Flicker/Jumping

Thanks to Gary Fritz I have finally cured the massively annoying
flickering/jumping charts that occur when indicators are set to Update Every
Tick. Several people asked me to post if I came across a solution. Gary
said in essence that Ts redraws the screen when it rescales the price of the
instrument or indicator. I then noted that jumping charts did occur when
one of my indicators was nearing the outer range of the current scale which
I always set to Screen. The jumping usually goes away if I reset the scale
to Entire Data Series but this does not work if the indicator is currently
making a new high/low since every tick forces the scale to expand and thus
the screen redraws and jumps. Plus setting the scale to Entire Data Series
is not very satisfactory because the scale is usually compressed and the
indicator gets pretty flat. The best solution is to set the scale manually
in User Defined and choose a number well above and below the current or
expected range of the indicator. This totally stops the screen flicker.
Obvioulsy this is a bug in Ts2k's (and maybe Ts4 I dont really remember)
automatic scale-to-screen code. All Ts2k has to do is expand the scale a
reasonable amount when the indicator value gets within say 5% of the current
limit and no flicker would ever occur.
The tech support people at Omega always tell me to disable hardware
acceleration when I complain about this problem. That has no effect and
obviously has nothing to do with the problem. I have written to the head of
Tech Support many times reporting the incorrect and completely
non-responsive advice given out by that dept but it falls on deaf ears.
Fortunately we have good people on this list like Gary to help us out.
