2000i in Real-time and W2K

Hello, everyone. I am relatively new to the list, so I am sure this is a
question asked and answered many times. . . .still, for my benefit, is there
any consensus re: using Windows 2000 for real-time intra-day trading using
2000i?

I currently trade Nasdaq E-Mini's on an NT platform (P3 450, 1/2 gig RAM,
with E-Signal and DSL) and am a bit reluctant to fix what 'ain't broke', but
I find that using Diskeeper on NT as the .dat files get bigger is very
problematic. I have heard a few people imply W2K in realtime is a
nightmare, yet Omega says they have no reported problems (however, one tech
supp person suggested never do an upgrade to W2K, only a clean install).

Thank you for your feedback.

Sincerely,

Michael Taylor
