ZA, Routers, Alternatives

Ron,

I too use the same router as you, however, sans either ZoneAlarm
or Black Ice Defender. My experience with ZA was very favorable
except that for my machine it was a resource hog preventing me from
running TradeStation with real-time data feed.  Thus I acquired the
Linksys router/firewall.  I also use Norton Anti-Virus for email.  All
seems to be well.  But what you don't know can hurt you.

Based on your firmware note below I was wondering if you have any
experience with hacker simulators beyond Gibson's (my router passes
all of his tests) ?

This is a controversial subject and you'll get differing opinions, but I'm
running a LinkSys BEFSR41 Router with the latest firmware upgrade
(important!) -- and BlackIce just to put a little icing on the cake --
along with Norton Anti-Virus --  The combo works well on several machines --
