A week or so ago I started to have problems with disappearing
toolbars. Nothing I have done seems to get rid of the problem.
Recently the disease seems to be spreading to other parts of TS. Other
windows now disappear on any click. For example, if I open a data
window, it disappears at the first click anywhere. TS still thinks
it's open though. Other pop-up windows have problems too. The screens
and charts are updating in ways even more unusual than normal (they
seem a bit odd, even normally, and don't update properly).
The cancer is spreading fast, and the patient seems doomed. I sense
yet another "reinstall everything" session coming up. Are there any
shorter routes than installing an old version and going through the
updates? What, if anything, can be saved (besides data and studies)?
Does it need a reinstall of the OS to eliminate possible registry
errors?
Any advice much appreciated. (Now, now, not *that* kind of advice) :-)
