Michael,

Did you try to boot up in safe mode and then delete the offending program.
I had a similar problem with a network card that locked the machine up.
However, booting up in safe made and disabling the offencing card got me
going again quickly.

Thanks, but I did go to the website, and the installations included a CD,
and "Update Diskette v4.02c."

Don't know what the problem was, but generally when something is not
supported it may not work, but does not make it impossible to reboot the
system.
