Re: Win2000 and Global Server Problem

I've recently gone from win98 to win2k and just used the following
procedure:
1. started with NEW computers
2. installed ts2k on new win2k system
3. deleted omega research folder from C:\program files
4. copied complete omega folder from win98 system and pasted in in win2k.
It takes about 2-3 minutes and I don't have to mess with importing/exporting
a single thing. I've done this with other programs for other win2k machines,
with similar good results.

One thing I do not do is use the computers for anything else while ts2k is
running. I use a different computer for IE5 and e-mail while TS is running.

By the way, a good setup for people to use for backups is the following:
Instead of messing with tape backups, hard drives, etc., just connect a high
quality laptop via network and copy over the omega folder and you're ready
to go. At most, this might result in a day without data should your main
computer go bad.

in a chart and then go to edit data. GS Edit data window does not popup as
it used to in NT4. Instead the GS tab in the task bar blinks, then I need to
click on it and then the Edit window pops up.Since I edit data frequently
during the trading day this is quite annoying.
