We tested Win2K with 2 ATI graphic cards, not stable.
The reason we figured out so far is that
1. ATI drivers are badly written :) or not ready for
win2K multiple monitor setup?!
2. the Win98 multiple monitor feature is not
fully migrated to Win2K, instead it is a complete
copy over to Win ME the newer version of win98.
it seems the same 2 cards work fine in WinME.
We also have old matrox single output cards plugged
into WinNT and win2K. in winNT they are very stable.
but not in Win2K.
For this setup, remember that matrox has the multiple
monitor driver available for winnt before win98
exists. So the matrox driver is specially made for
winnt and not following the microsoft way of handling
multiple monitors.
maybe we have to wait for more stable version of
the drivers?!
