The was a situation in which the specific printer (a Canon) had to be on
LPT1 without a security block. However, I guess I should have checked with
Randall Kurzon before pushing it off the pier. No regrets, the thing was a
piece of crap and served me right for not sticking with a HP.

You can "piggyback" using the same LPT1 as far as security blocks for
different programs are concerned.
