I just noticed Lemmy has the following limits:
Maximum number of lines in an edit file	1.048.575
Maximum length of a line in an edit file	2.045

This will not suffice for the number of your records. Sorry. I haven't
checked the limits of other vi versions.

Hello list

Is anybody aware of a good ascii file handling program to deal with
large files? The file size is about 350MB with 2000000 records. I need
some basic functions as "search - replace", and character picks
depending on the "place" in the string,...
