And Some of us are sick and tired of paying top dollar prices for garbage
software without real recourse when it turns out to be junk. Some of us are
tired of the empty promises to fix the bugs and paying for updates only to
find the newest greatest version has more bugs than the original. Some of us
are extremely pissed off about then being left totally out in the cold as
the software vendor decides to change their business model. And some of us
are really basically honest people who just want the time to truly test the
software because we have been ripped off so many times with junk. When and
if we determine it has value we don't mind paying for it. But in the case
where the up to speed time to use the software is on the order of 6 months
not weeks you can't cram that into 30 days.

On the one hand I might agree with you based on honesty, ethics, etc. On the
other hand you have a many famous and prominent persons and families that
were bootleggers, robber barons, and racketeers that stole and traded their
way to at least appearing to be respectable to some.
