Optimal word here is professional. One of many definitions of the word 
professional but fits this discussion or debate. PROFESSIONAL: 
participating for gain or livelihood in an activity or field of endeavor 
often engaged in by amateurs. Other than that I think we all on this list 
understand both positions made by Tom and OM.
