Subject: Quote.com inquiry

Anyone who is using Quote.com (Qfeed) have anything positive or negative to
say about it?

Best Regards,
John Theo

Yes...both + and -. Been running Qcharts as Level II supplement to TS2K.
Charting, speed, instant access to recent historical tick data for every
stock, index, option, etc is absolutely superb. Further, their tech support
actively monitors an eGroups thread, and responds generally within minutes
with an answer, an explanation, or an actual fix of a bad tick, server issue
or whatever (other than program recoding). Absolutely fantastic
responsiveness all day long by 2, sometimes 3 guys with real knowledge,
whether patches, user learning issues, or logging requests for fixes, new
features, or glitches. Plus there's an add-on or two from independent
programmers who also post the same thread.

This is a separate group from the dynastore guys trying to do the quote.com
feed to Omega. I'm not using it, still feeding Omega with pcQuote. The
dynastore guys got problems because Quote.com is having some of the same
server farm type problems that pcQuote had with Omega feed last year.

thus the (-); nobody comes close to the quality of charting, IMO. pcQuote
vs Qcharts charting is like DOS 3.0 vs W98. BUT they're struggling to
handle the customer load without server downtime, missing ticks, etc. I've
had no problems the last 2 weeks, and the number of complaints on the thread
is fewer, so it looks like they're making good progress, just be warned.

Summary: Qcharts a great product, having some growth pains but they're
sincere and trying so hard most users seem able to accept the imperfections
good-naturedly, in stark contrast to the animus Omega generates with their
arrogance and non-responsiveness.
Usual no financial interest disclaimer.
