It this is true, why has SUNW gone thru the roof and MSFT gone to hell in
the past 6 months ?
Also, check out BEA Systems......a major Java app player.

Java developers are getting $150-200 PER HOUR !!!
80% of the e-commerce backends are built upon Java.
80% of the DHTML (dynamic web pages) is based on a derivative Javascript.

Sun is getting a lot of flak for trying to control it.....the developers
like me are hammering them about licensing and trademark issues....daily. We
are trying to insure that SUN becomes a "benevolent" player here and avoids
building the "Evil Empire II" which is what everyone is worried about.

Bill Joy article: no one in the Java world was happy with that one.

Ignore Java at your own peril.
