Re: DBC Microsoft Mentality

Think of it. Free data, provided by the exchanges (to promote increased
trading volume) to a dot com which attracts high advertising revenues
because of the traffic generated by the free data. When the exchanges get
past the special interests of the piranha there solely to rip us off, and go
to electronic trading exclusively, then they will be glad to provide the
data free, since the small trader is the bread and butter of electronic
trading.
When the piranha are forced to compete with us on an even playing field,
they may find it harder to make 7 figures. DBC is just part of the
corporate mentality of the piranha, the institutions, and the exchanges that
could care less if the individual trader got a fair shake. They don't like
us, cause we are anathema to the mantra the institutional players
continually repeat ("buy and hold, buy and hold, buy and hold... .").
However, as the success of Eurex increases, and the writing on the wall
becomes more apparent, then the piranha will be sacrificed at the feet of
the institutions and exchanges, and the level electronic playing field of
the future will be the present, and all will be competing for the attention
of the small trader. Free data will not be just a dream, but reality, and
dbc will be relegated to the status of a small dinosaur that failed to
adjust to a new environment.

Just a dream? One can only hope.
