I had the same problem and was told by Omega to try the following solution,
but it didn't work.

I am running NT Svc. Pack 5. It turned out that I got the error when I
tried to use the Temp directory in the E: drive, since that is where I have
Omega installed. I had to use the Temp directory on the C: drive, where it
loads (and uppacks, I guess), but then use the E: drive when it asks where
to store the Omega files.

Hope this helps as this problem drove me nuts for a long time. Omega didn't
have the answer to the problem, either by email or on the website.
