Take a look at the HP Omnibook 900. I just got a 650 and it gave the choice
of 95 or 98 on initial startup. I immediately upgraded it to 2000 and am
very happy with it. Stay away from the Japanese. If the computer needs
service you might as well throw it away.

Subject: Seeking advice on Purchasing Notebook
Purchasing Notebook Computer...have following questions.
I am running Win95, set up as Fat 16, and Quote.com, Daily Graphs, Super
Charts 4.0, Build 8, etc. Love it, want to stay on Win95 platform.
Purchasing Notebook Computer and want it fully compatible with existing
Win95, Fat16 machine. Example: Want to be able to copy entire Omega
folder from Win95 Desktop to Notebook.
Figuring on: Dell Inspiron 7500, SXGA Screen, 650 GT Pentium III
SpeedStep, 256 MB SDRam, 12 G. HD, 56k Modem, Combo Bay (CD-ROM & Floppy
3 1/2 inch, 12 GB Hard Drive.
Problem 1: Dell only sells Inspiron with Win98. Dell will also sell me
Win95, but I am not comfortable with their commitment to assist me in
uninstalling win98, formatting as Fat16 and installing Win95.
Does this switch from Win98 to Win95 normally encounter complicated
problems?
If Win98 to Win95 switch is difficult, should I buy Dell Latitude which
Dell will factory load with Win95?
I need a screen for a Desktop. Is Dell's the 21" Trinitron a good
screen?
Appreciate your help.
Thanks, Ben
