> Figuring on: Dell Inspiron 7500, SXGA Screen, 650 GT Pentium III
> SpeedStep, 256 MB SDRam, 12 G. HD, 56k Modem, Combo Bay (CD-ROM & Floppy
> 3 1/2 inch, 12 GB Hard Drive.
2 things:
1) I think that Win98 is substantially more stable then Win95. Since I got
W98, I have yet to see the "Microsoft Blue Screen of Death" more than once a
quarter and that's only when I stress the machine/OS. With Win95, it was
consistently once or twice a week.
2) I got a Dell Inspiron 7000 and it's the best I've ever had. Previously,
I had a Compaq and a Canon.Their TFT screens seems more fuzzy compared to
Dell's .
