Hello Jerry,
JC> I CAN DO YOU ONE BETTER. I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH OPTIONS 1 OR 4 AS WELL.
>> > 1. cut out some time sessions
example a long term system on the sp does not need the false data at
the beginning of the day or at the end of the day so delete it from
the data you trade and test on. i omit the first 30 minutes and the
last 15 minutes of the sp.
>> > 2. Olympic judge the price
this should have come last because first you do number 4. then apply
this rule to the results of number 4.
>> > 3. build dead zones
ok wanna trade during noon balloon? a noon balloon is a false price
move that will pop about the time you get into the trade. omit it!
>> > 4. separate trend data from chop data and Olympic judge
throw out the high and throw out the low sample whats left.
traditionally the high should be less in size to chop off in the
choppy data and larger in the trending data. then after these have
been separated and Olympic Judged then OJ the total data set.
>> each according to their own specific confidence levels - which are
>> specific to the data series itself.
your now left with a dull and boring data set to build a system on.
and all your fears have been eliminated cause i told you to chop out
and throw away the fearful sections that will most likely do you harm.
your welcomed.
>> I'm not familiar with either options 2 or 3. Can anybody provide brief
>> descriptions?
>>
>> Thanks, Cab
