I wonder how long it will take before the CME, CBOT &etc wake up to
the fact that Eurex, with its reliable electronic exchange, is taking
over the world?
I predict they will hold onto their precious pit-trading traditions
until they drive their exchanges into the ground. If they don't get
their act together and implement a REAL, RELIABLE, WORKABLE
electronic exchange, *without* all the funky foibles of side-by-side
pit & (crippled) electronic trading, they will lose their leadership
role to Eurex and other 21st-century exchanges.
It's already happening.
