I've seen stranger things -- and I thought of that, but alas, I swapped out
video cards for a different make and driver lineage, and no go. I'll give
disabling hardware acceleration a shot... but I'm not very hopefull of that
as a fix. If overnight session ticks dribbling in 1 every few minutes can
cause this... it can't be just graphics related.

But I appreciate you chiming in!

I don't know anything about BS100 (and probably never will) but Omega is
famous for programs that have problems with certain video cards. That's
the first thing I would check. Try going into either the setup program
for the video card or the display control panel and disabling all
hardware acceleration so it's just running as a vanilla SVGA card.
Hardware acceleration isn't needed for a charting program anyway so it's
no loss if that helps. For that matter, you don't need any more than 256
colors.
