MIAMI, Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Omega Research, Inc. (Nasdaq: OMGA - news), a
leading provider of branded real-time investment analysis tools for the
active trader, today announced that, for the seventh consecutive year,
TradeStation 2000i won Stocks & Commodities magazine's Readers' Choice Award
for ``Best Trading Analysis Software'' in the over $500 category. The
company's OptionStation 2000i took first place honors for ``Best Options
Analysis Software'' for the third straight year.
Bill Cruz, co-chairman of the board and co-chief executive officer of Omega
Research, said, ``Our ongoing dominance of the trading analysis and options
analysis software sectors validates the role these two top-of-the-line
products play as indispensable tools in the sophisticated traders' arsenal.
We will continue to improve our products and services to provide traders
with the best possible analysis tools available. Later this year, in fact,
we will see TradeStation's award winning technology available to traders as
an on-line service with the launch of TradeStation.com, the Internet's first
streaming real-time decision support portal for the active trader.''
The company also announced a strong showing by other products in its line,
including Dow Jones TradeStation (now called Telerate TradeStation), a
version of TradeStation developed by Omega Research for Dow Jones Markets'
(now Bridge Information Services') worldwide client base, which won First
Runner-Up for ``Best Institutional Trading Platform,'' second only to
Bloomberg. In the ``Trading Analysis Software ($200-$400)'' category,
SuperCharts and Window On WallStreet were named First Runner-Up and
Finalist, respectively, while www.OmegaResearch.com received Honorable
Mention for its ``Technical Analysis Website.''
The Readers' Choice Awards represent the results of a survey conducted by
Stocks & Commodities magazine of its subscribers -- experienced traders who
demand the highest standards in their trading tools....
