Off topic:Machine won't recognize 2nd HD

  I xcopied my C drive to my D drive. removed the D drive and tried
to install it on a new machine as a secondary master. It was a
secondary master on the old machine.
  The CMOS settings in the new machine seem to be set to auto-detect
a secondary master but the CMOS says none is there.
  If I remove the CDrom and replace it with the extra drive, bootup tells
me to hit F4 (skip) to continue.
  Anyone know how to get the new machine to recognize the extra drive?
