Historical Financial Data

Hi

I'd be most grateful for any references to sources of financial data,
e.g. price histories, etc.

I'm interested in all markets and any of the following:
1) Free data
2) Data for sale
3) Third party collaboration

I'm a PhD student and need the data for training intelligent trading
systems.
