I used StockEdge Online (lower end package of Signal Online)
in May. There was holes in my GS ticks due to ISP troubles.
I then downloaded the 4.0 refresh data from the Omega site
and imported them hoping to fill the holes for index symbols
like $NDX. The first thing I learned was that it does not
fill the hole; it overwrites all the ticks for the day! This
was confirmed as the designed behavior, with Omega. Then I
found that there are lots of no-tick minutes with the
imported (BMI) data for $NDX, say, significantly more sparse
and inferior ticks compared with StockEdge's consistent 4
ticks per minute for this symbol; the result for other index
symbols are similar. I had been blaming it on Omega's
collection machine's skipping ticks in my mind until I saw
your posting. Yes, BMI and Signal is one compay but that
doesn't mean ...

If this is correct, I find it amazing, as I only get about
700 ticks per
day for this symbol from BMI. Therefore, I will ask the
members if
anyone has a feed that gives CONSIDERABLE MORE ticks than
BMI cable does
for the following symbols (the numbers represents an approx.
daily
average):
SYMBOL: Average ticks per day:
SP9Z 4000 (day session only)
SPX 1500
TICK 700
TRIN 400
TIKI 550
Thanks,
Odd.
