TS has powereditor - can write fancy indicators and system.
WOW DT has a metastock like function language -
can write simple indicators and systems.
is TS programming capability more powerful? yes.
can trading with TS make more money? no way.
there are many ways to make money trading, the most famous one
is to have much more money in the beginning and make those money
run away :)
WOW DT seems to me a program more designed as a real time information
station of great news, quotes interface. and its charts can be printed
in many many different ways for checking on massive amount of charts.
Its drawing capability is not as powerful as TS but
trendlines, etc. are there.
I think they have a 30-day trial ... or something like that, so
testing it out won't hurt.
Again TS defined how trading tools should look like since 10 yrs
ago, but after so many people using it keep losing money - then
the question "is there a better way?" should be asked. Maybe there exists
better way for people to see how a mkt behaviour than simple price time
charts with indicators, but with TS, one is bounded in the same old
framework since the old time of charting by hand ...
Remember, the mkt always discount the concepts used most by the
public. e.g. fundamental valuation of stocks does not work on
internet stocks from a few yrs back, now everybody switched to
"momentum stock" concept - do you think this switch will last? :)
