My name is Mark, I have WOW, TC2000, Metastock, Metastock Pro (RT.), TS 4.0 ,
TS200i, bla bla bla.....OK here is my take on TS and Trading. There is a lot
of software out there, TS is working a lot of bugs out I agree and am
frustrated also. I am a Professional Stock broker, have owned my own biz and
have traded for the past 5 years ... don't get into easlylang to deep yet,
still looking to implement excel into my testing, but guys TS is really a
good product. Windows was never really supposed to take off and be what it
is today. Win 95 was late beyond every aspect of a new release and that
sucked awful. What I am saying, If I know of guys who are running millions
of dollars in managed futures, bond traders, and small fund managers who use
this product and live by it then we need to take hostility elsewhere.
EVERYTHING CAN BE MADE BETTER! Why do you think they made Ts so compatible
within excel???? I think the omega team is trying, trying real hard to get
this off and running lean. How many times ha win98 crashed or fatal error,
I'm wondering if it not TS but a configuration inside of windows itself.
>From what I have learned about win98 is that it wants to completely control
your PC, i can remember 3.1 you could customize the shit out of it and really
make it better, now windows is so stuck up our hard drives i wonder if a
program that really needs to utilize certain functions that it conflicts with
windows. anyhow on testing, that is so subjective, i think in order to
really test you need tons of data and your own rules to a T and then build
around that using an outside source such as excel, etc....thats when you goto
the next level. your own software and your proprietary functions. think
about it guys the MAC was never to live, and windows IBM said why would
anybody want that, and why in the hell would people want a computer in their
house, these are for biz, and win95 was late, crashed, crashed, crashed,
forced you to upgrade your hard equip, and then 98 came , ram huge
factor........i could go on,
i reads these posts to learn stuff like chart scanning, then narrowing down
1500 to 50 symbols, or new ideas on entry points, or tell us about your
successful trades and what worked, take a hard look at your configuration, im
not on omega's side god knows ive called tech support a ton, but if you want
something better, you'll have to build it. i wish i was that smart, for now
ive got the best on the street working for me..
