for many reasons.....they're scammers or pirates looking for the quick
buck, they're hobbyists who would rather develop systems for fun much
like old style hackers liked to hack computer systems for kicks,
they're people who lack confidence in the execution end of trading, and
so on.
the ones who are truly successful system developers and traders are
usually close lipped about their work to the point of paranoia. if
something "works", ie, make mucho buckos, then why sell it? so, they
don't and keep very very quiet.
at least fuzzy pete (and others) offer to post em for free (i guess) so
that we might learn.
