COMPANY
Small CTA trading domestic and international futures and options
markets. Key software development centers around the design and
testing of trading models, trade accounting, and realtime
dissemination of financial data. Relocation to Richmond, Virginia
will be necessary. The environment is best suited for
self-motivated, creative individuals who are team players,
comfortable with responsibility.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Work with research, trading, and accounting heads to analyze
programming needs and design software. Write subsystem specs
and data requirements. Program applications in C/C++, using
Borland's C++ builder and/or the Sun C++ compiler with target
platforms of Windows NT and Unix. Database applications will
utilize SQL and ODBC in both client server and single user
configurations. Knowledge of overall project design using
object-oriented paradigm. Maintain, update, and modify
legacy applications.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- BS or greater in either COMPUTER SCIENCE, ENGINEERING,
or MATHEMATICS.
- Ability to accurately forecast deadlines and to complete
projects ahead of or on schedule.
- Minimum of 5 years of "C" and/or 3 years of "C++"
programming experience.
- Proficiency in, and experience with, the Object Oriented
Design Paradigm.
- Minimum of 2 years of database design and programming (SQL)
experience.
- Strong analytical background and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to cope with and adapt to change.
- Ability and maturity to work as a member of a team in a
courteous and friendly fashion.
- Positive attitude and willingness to do "Whatever it Takes"
to accomplish the goal.
