     MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 8, 1999--Omega Research, Inc.
(NASDAQ:OMGA) announced today that it has received from the United
States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit a final order which
dismisses with prejudice all claims against the Company and all other
defendants in the class action securities lawsuit filed against it
January 28, 1998 in federal district court in Miami. This order brings
final closure to the case, which was styled RICHARD M. RHODES,
individually and on behalf of all others similarly situated,
Plaintiffs, vs. WILLIAM R. CRUZ; RALPH L. CRUZ; OMEGA RESEARCH, INC.;
BANCBOSTON ROBERTSON STEPHENS; LEHMAN BROTHERS; and HAMBRECHT & QUIST,
Defendants, Case No. 98-0174-CIV-LENARD.
