Just a quick note for Larry Wright who claimed for ASCII files readable code in TradeStation.
The templates provided in TS2000allow to store allof your indicators, signal, paintbars and function in plain ASCII.
This what you were asking for if I remember.
The extensions are different according t the category, and are stored in a separate directory, without using a search table.
They are template, no more,no less,and are independant of the ELS / TOK storage.
Ten you may use an ASCII file search program as you planned to do.
We will use this also as templates for the neurofuzzy logic software.
The templates are created using a save as template command from the Power Editor.
