ASCtrend's pricing is posted on their website at www.ablesys.com. ASCTrend
is now "leased" annually... last I checked, it was $1000-1500/yr (I
think... honestly have not paid much attention to exact pricing lately). I
got mine when it was available for permanent license and was significantly
less expensive.

CQG pricing is expensive compared to other "retail" services, but you truly
get what you pay for... good, fast, clean data, excellent software, and
superb, friendly customer assistance 24hrs/day during the trading week. The
best way to appreciate CQG is to use (any other provider) first :-)
Typical pricing ranges from $750-2000/mo (mine's currently $1818/mo). CQG's
monthly fee depends upon what services you choose (from a long list) as well
as several available integrated trading systems (i.e. Advanced GET/Tom
DeMark/Tom Joseph/Bill Williams/Cynthia Kase/etc). It's all available
month-to-month with no long-term contracts.
My first clue about CQG came from literally every futures trader I met, that
was trading as a business, was using CQG.
My second clue was when I visited my broker/FCM in downtown Chicago and
found CQG running on their desks.
If you're trading futures for a living, it's the way to go. Expensive, but
worth it... easy to pencil-out as a business expense if you're profitable
enough to live on your trading income (not to mention keeping 4 kids in
schools from grade school to college!!!). That said, it probably does not
make sense if you trade part-time, EOD, or are still developing a trading
system.
CQG also has about 2500 of the most active stocks online, and is adding more
real soon. That's good, since I want to start including stocks in my
trading later this year!
Doug
(my comments are my own, I get no rebate, incentive, referral, etc. from
ASCTrend, CQG, Omega, or anyone else... just in case you were
wondering....)
